Angela Slider is a California born textile artist currently practicing in Berlin after spending the past five years finding her artistic voice in New York City. She utilizes a combination of machine tufting, weaving, embroidery, and fiber dyeing in her pieces, which range from rugs to furniture to wearable art.
Her work is deeply rooted in her childhood in 90’s car-centric LA, pulling inspiration from fast food drive-thrus to urban signage and motifs. She explores the distinctly unique crossroads between traditional folk tapestry and Memphis Milano pop art, with subject matter spanning from abstracts in saturated colors to foods high in saturated fats.

There are four frame sizes offered: 14x14cm, 40x40cm, 40x80cm, and 80x80cm. The length of your class varies on frame size and complexity of design.
Technically all classes are beginner friendly, however we do recommend that beginners start with simpler designs without a lot of details.
You can either bring in an image or inspiration to work off of, or rugs can be created organically and spontaneously as you experiment with colors and textures.
